Manasquan is a small town in southern Monmouth County, measuring 2.5 square miles. The beachfront is a very popular area with surfers due to the jetty protruding into the Atlantic Ocean at the Manasquan inlet, which enlarges the waves. The inland portion of the Intracoastal Waterway terminates in the Manasquan Inlet.

 

The Manasquan Inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Manasquan River, and was dug in the 1920’s. There are many marinas along the Manasquan River.

 

There are many small businesses in Manasquan, as well as a boardwalk.

The few condo / townhouse complexes in Manasquan are small, with only a few homes in each.

 

The Manasquan Public Schools offer education to students in grades K-12. There is one school for K-8, and across the street is Manasquan High School, which also accepts student from other small, nearby towns.
