Breakwater Cove in Monmouth Beach is a townhouse / condo community. There are upper or lower level homes with one bedroom, and 2 level townhouses with 2 bedrooms. The 33 homes in Breakwater Cove were built in the early 1970’s. Some of the homes are waterfront, while others offer a view of the Shrewsbury River and/or the ocean. Boat slips are available.

Breakwater Cove offers tennis courts, a pool and a beach area. Pets are allowed.

Students in grades K-8 will attend Monmouth Beach School, which is the school for the Monmouth Beach School District.  High school students will attend school students attend Shore Regional High School, a regional high school that serves students Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, Oceanport and West Long Branch. Students also have the opportunity of attending the Monmouth County Vocational School District.
